7075 Ultra-light Aircraft Aluminum

7075 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy has excellent physical properties, offering abrasion resistance, deformation resistance, high stiffness and ultralight weight. Made of 7075 aluminum alloy, the the overall chainring only weighs 143g while maintaining such excellent performance. According to the stress contour based on FEA technical analysis, we strengthen the structural design of the part under concentrated stress. Therefore, it can reduce the deformation under heavy load. Self-developed Tooth Design

After multiple iterations of product design, and research on the performance and wear characteristics of various tooth-shaped chainring, the QED lightweight split chainring adopts a brand new self-developed 3rd generation tooth shape. As a result, the transmission and shifting efficiency have been significantly improved.

We re-calculate parameters related with root, groove, and shape of teeth on chainring and make targeted adjustment so as to improve mechanical transition efficiency under heavy load. Therefore, chain can bite on the chainring tightly and switch precisely and quickly from small to big chainring.

The chain can switch to big chainring by 1/5 round in the fastest case. This ensures accurate and smooth shifting at different speed in different conditions.

The width between each tooth is increased, and the strength between the teeth is further improved. This can effectively prolong the longevity of chainring. The service life of the chain and chainring is increased by about 3% compared with before optimization.

110BCD 4-bolt Chainring

QED lightweight split chainring adopts the widely popular 110BCD 4-bolt specification in the market, which reduces weight and has more comprehensive compatibility.

Magene also provides spider-based power meter solution besides chainring. You can use with exclusive power meter according to personal needs for power meter. QED lightweight split chainring is perfectly compatible with the Magene flagship product QED P505 power meter and PES P505 base power meter.

QED split chainring is compatible with 11 and 12-speed groupsets from Shimano.
